What’s ready, what’s next

YOUR WORDS ARE YOURS

Counts keys. Never reads them.

The App keeps counts, not characters. No account. No server connection. Daily totals stay on your Mac.

A local habit. A private rhythm.

The typing pad responds only while focused, using physical key categories. It never reads or stores characters, monitors other apps, or reads your App’s statistics.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things to know.

Something else?
Read help & support →

Can I download Keysuit yet? What will it cost?

Yes. Anyone can download the free 0.4.0 public beta from this page; no invitation or account is needed. It isn’t notarized by Apple yet, so the first launch needs Open Anyway in Privacy & Security. Pricing for the stable release hasn’t been decided. There is no newsletter signup.

Which devices and languages does it support?

Keysuit is a Mac app, with no iOS or Windows version. It requires macOS 13 or later and runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel; Intel Macs and macOS 13 have not been tested on real hardware yet. The App defaults to English and can switch to Simplified Chinese or Japanese in Settings.

Can I adjust or turn off the sounds?

The App has theme selection, volume controls and temporary mute. The volume slider on this page only controls this website’s samples; it does not change your Mac or App volume. On iPhone, the silent switch may prevent web audio from being heard.

Why does the App need Input Monitoring? What about passwords?

Input Monitoring lets the installed App respond to key categories across apps. It does not read or store characters. macOS Secure Input can prevent events from reaching the App, including in password fields. This website never asks for Input Monitoring.

What data does Keysuit keep?

The App keeps local totals such as keystroke counts, typing speed, focus time and breaks. It does not store typed text, use an account, or connect to a server. Website resource requests are separate from the App’s local data.

Do system sounds and reminders always work?

They are in the beta; tell us if one misfires. Notifications depend on macOS permissions and Focus. Download and screenshot alerts depend on folder access. Automatic pausing with Focus and built-in-keyboard-only sounds are not available.

How will I get new versions?

The App does not connect to the internet and has no automatic updater. New beta builds are listed in the Changelog; download the new disk image and replace the App in Applications. Your data is kept.

View changelog →
How do I uninstall it or get help?

Quit Keysuit from the menu bar before removing the App from Applications. Local data is separate; review the help page before removing it. For bugs, ideas or installation help, email support@keysuit.app; the help page explains what to include.
